Houston, TX: once again.

i'm so behind on weekend updates right now, so here goes:

i went to houston a couple of weeks ago for another
weekend of fun filled events...

scott and i imitated my friend Holly's organ wall engagement pictures.
playing around in the parking lot in Rice Village.
kalena and i on our 3rd try to get a picture minus the boys.
we are always so serious.
sweet and innocent.
downtown at the international festival.
chad used my dress pocket to hold his beer.
studly figures.
just doing a little rock climbing.
my pretty {little} city.
ready to leave.
kisses for Ryan out on Washington St.
brunch at Cyclone Anaya's.
the weekend ended with a trip to the movies to see the Bounty Hunter.
everyone fell asleep except for Scott who was the only one who
did not want to see the show, haha.
i broke the strap of my dress during a hardcore dance party
in the car on the way home from the theater.

i'd say that makes for a successful weekend.

after much debating,
i decided to go with this little number for
one of my friend's up coming wedding.

i feel like it is very classy and timeless,
and i can't wait to wear it!

you can find it here.

i want one of these sooo bad.
i feel like they are the perfect summer bag.

i have a lot of summer concerts planned,
and it is perfect for carrying all my little necessities!

maybe i'll treat myself with my graduation money?
thanks and gig 'em.

wedding fun.

i love that people have these photo booths
set up at there weddings these days.

i have already been told by a few friends
that they are limiting the number of photo booth
pictures they will take with me at one
of the upcoming weddings.

they just know me too well..

big bows.

i am {in love} with these.
reminds me of my childhood.
my mom always had me in bows bigger than my head.

i like that bows can be worn by 20 somethings
because i am quite the fan.

you can find them here and here.

this song has helped to keep me sane.

you can listen to it here.

another houston hoorah.

2 weekends ago i headed back to {Houston} for a few nights.
thursday night was spent at the turtle races.
it was rather entertaining to cheer on my turtle of choice (#2).
ryan and i.
of course i am carrying him and not the other way around.
on friday, i spent the day shopping at anthro.
i went and had coffee with one of my friends i hadn't seen in a while.
the night brought about pizza on Washington followed by a few bars.
i wore a cute little black romper and the boys brutally made fun of me.
blayne and i.
chadley and i.
Linsey, me, and Kalena.
saturday morning i had to get up early to head home.
mom and i ran some errands, and we headed to a wedding that night.
it was fun watching everyone dance,
but i wasn't in "full dance Natalie" mode.
i'll be saving up most of those moves for the Kerr/Walker wedding!

sweet smells.

this weekend i smelled the new Balenciaga at Neimans, and it is phenomenal. it is the perfect scent for summer 2010. it is very fresh and light, and after putting some on my wrist i got compliments for the rest of the day.
you can find it here.
but really should just go smell it in the store..

too cute tory.

i love these new tory burch jellys.
i have had the hardest time finding them in my size.

$65 for a pair of TBs is quite the deal.
you can find them here.

not just journals.

i decided to make these cute journals i saw here for a
few of my friends.

they were super easy to make, and a lot of fun.

i bought these journals from target.
most of the material came from Hobby Lobby.
here was the nearly finished product.
i sewed around the edges with colored thread, and
added buttons, birds and other knick-knacks
to give them a little character.

they were a hit!

black bean dip.

1 16oz. black bean can (rinse)
2 tomatoes chopped
4 green onions (chopped)
1 clove garlic (minced)
2 Tbsp. cilantro (chopped)
2 jalopeno peppers (chopped)
1/2 bell pepper (chopped)
2 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. lime juice
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Refrigerate overnight.

the new jlo.

this comes out friday and i couldn't be
more excited.

you can watch the trailer here.

bachelorette party.

i usually am known to wear very cutesy things.
sundresses, rompers and baby doll tops are more my style,
and what i am generally drawn to buy when shopping.

as far as clothes to wear for going out,
i have about zero.

Holly's bachelorette party is this upcoming weekend,
so i decided to splurge on this sassy one sleeve
from Nordstrom.
it's by Bailey 44.

you can find it here.

love the look.

nars red lipgloss+ anthro polka dot dress + sam edelman black sandals

= a sweet little summer look.

for Easter weekend, i took a trip to the great state of Wyoming to visit my friend Elliot. i left the 80 degree weather in Texas for the below freezing. it snowed every day i was there. we drove from Rock Springs to Jackson to see a more beautiful area of the state. i flew for the first time by myself. it was kind of stressful, and rather boring to be honest. the tiny plane i flew on from Denver to Rock Springs was a joke and slightly scary, but luckily i did survive the flight. we took a billion pictures (as usual), saw as much of {the grand tetons} as we could (it was snowing), saw a moose, cooked dinner, dyed Easter eggs, and had a photo shoot. here are some pictures from the weekend:

so long wyoming.
