birthday weekend: part two

last weekend we had a couples weekend in watercolor to continue the birthday celebration. it was an absolute blast. we rode bikes, watching movies, shopped, played the game things, went out for dinner, and sat on the beach in sweatshirts. our sweet rental car for the weekend was the ultra swanky town car (pictured above).

i love watercolor any time of the year. it's like my own little utopia far away from all of life's problems and is just so peaceful. i can't wait to go back in january.

birthday weekend: one.

I went to Nashville last weekend to surprise a certain someone for their {thirty-first} birthday. It was a short weekend, but very fun-filled. Friday we went to Sperry's for steak, salad and bananas foster. Saturday we went to a junior league football game, the Local Taco for lunch, GoTen (where Mr. Gary asked the Hostess if he could borrow a jacket and hat) for dinner, and ended the night with the Holiday and an attempt to decorate the tree. Sunday we had lunch at Brick Tops, Pinkberry for the third time that weekend (we may or may not have made a trip every day), and saw Morning Glory before making our way to the airport.

i {love} weekends in Nashville.

...and put on your warm fuzzy sweater.

it's finally starting to feel like fall around here, and i absolutely love it. today it was in the 50s, and i loved getting to dress the part. i do miss wearing sweat suits to my morning classes. apparently that is frowned upon in the working world, however i do enjoy coming home from work and throwing on lounge clothes.

i came across this outfit today online, and i think it's just want i need for the upcoming months. it will be the perfect for watching christmas movies and drinking hot chocolate.
plus, the perfect holiday candle to set the mood.
you can find it all here.
here's to the holidays!
