new york minute: part three.

our last day in the city was a rainy one.

we started off the day with breakfast at Fred's.

so good, so so good.

we then went through the MoMA.

afterwards, my dad had to leave to make

his flight.

we went in a few shops and

decided to take a break at Saks

for cappuccinos and chocolate cake.

we decided our feet were rather tired

by day four.

we then headed back to the hotel

to get our luggage so we could

make our flight home.

new york minute: part two.

saturday was my actual birthday.

it was a very memorable day complete with:
walking around the city,
breakfast at Dean & Deluca,
the Rockette's Christmas spectacular,
lunch at Cafeteria,
jumping around in central park,
dinner at the River Cafe,
and of course a few presents!

it was a birthday for the books for sure.

new york minute: part one.

we flew to nyc for my 23rd birthday.

the city is one of my favorite places in the world.

i realize that is a rather strong statement,
but i just love it there.

there are so many options for eating and entertainment.

we saw {memphis} and absolutely loved it.

it was highly entertaining.

we shopped some, and just walked around the city

pretending to be locals.

i always said when i was younger i would move there

or a year or two in my 20s,

but i just don't think that it's God's plan for me.

anyhow, i always love visiting it.

it was the perfect birthday.

NYC: Day 1.

jo & i went to NYC in August, and i never got around to posting pictures.

these are our pictures from Day 1.

We flew in, and really just walked around Times Square.

we ate at this little quaint Italian food restaurant

and then went to Junior's for cheesecake.

..and it's another good morning.

i love starting out my days early.

i like being completely ready for the day in the morning.

my favorite mornings are the ones when i have a class at 9:10,

and immediately following class i walk across

the street from campus to Starbucks.

i have gone there on a daily basis since freshman year.

sadly, most of the employees know my name and what i like to order.

haha, it kind of makes me feel good though.

so this morning i order my cappuccino

(nonfat, 2 raw sugars, extra shot)

and i spend my hour i have to spare til work eating a blueberry

muffin and sipping on my cappuccino while listening

to Lasso by Phoenix and checking up on what is going on

today (email, blogger, clothing).

--my only complaint is the crazy texas weather.

it's super humid and 80 degrees.

{i hope i still get to fit this ritual into my day after i get a big girl job}

i purchased this little number from j.crew for the NYC trip 

coming up so very soon. this picture really does not do it justice

because it is one of the most adorable 

LBD i have ever seen! it is very flattering, 

i just have to figure out how i want to accessorize! 

oh new york trip, how you are costing me a fortune before i even arrive...

romping around.

i think i need this for my NYC trip coming up in a few weeks.
