spring forward.

in lieu of the unseasonably warm texas weather,
i decided to check out the spring look book from uo.
these are some of my favorite spring looks.

lately, i have been really into winter, and wanting it to last.
but due to the fact, i want the semester to fly by and
the weather change, i cannot wait to dress for spring.

i felt like i should have been in a sundress today on campus!

flower phenomenon.

love these.
you can find them here.

ready to read..

her other books were to die for.
i can barely contain my excitement!
may 11 seems so far away...

moving forward in 2010.

while 2009 definitely had it's ups and downs.
all in all i would say it was pretty great year.
2009 brought about traveling (CO, LA, FL, NY),
new friends as well as maintaining old friendships,
one step closer to college graduation, heartache,
dance parties, picking myself up to be extremely happy.

i dreaded this year because most of my friends were
going to be moving, but like everything else. things
always seem to work out.

i feel like the year was definitely a growing experience,
and i know that 2010 will bring about even more
growth and changes that i will get through.

my {special} christmas : )

So every Christmas we have the exact same rituals...

Christmas Eve we get up and get ready for the day.
We go my Grandpa's house and celebrate
Christmas with my dad's side of the family.

After we leave Grandpa's we go to church for candlelight service.
It is one of my favorite Christmas rituals even though
i like how they used to do it when i was little better.

After church we have some family and close friends over for
finger food, desserts, and wine.
Even though we are now 22, 19, 16, and 13 we still all sleep
on my parents floor on Christmas Eve.
I made my favorite lime jello salad.
(mom and i almost forgot to make it!)
Papa brought his new puppy Coco.
She is just a doll.
As usual, we had to take some family pictures outside.

So everyone brings various dishes and comes over for
an afternoon feast.

Christmas night we open presents with my mom's side.

I love that we practice the same Christmas routine every year.
I hope that when I have a family we will have a similar
routine. It helps to make everything extra special.

it is also so sad when it's over...
but until next year!
